Vandoren Ligatures Explained
Vandoren offer several styles of ligatures: The mouthpiece creates the sound, the reed vibrates to make it happen, and the ligature controls how freely the reed can vibrate.
A ligature won't completely change a sax or clarinet's sound, but it can affect response, Articulation, tone colour, feel and resistance.
